Let the countdown begin! In the rush and bustle of the holiday season, New Year’s Eve can easily sneak up on you. Instead of cramming your party planning and preparations into the busy week between Christmas and New Year’s, start tackling the easiest (and most exciting) items on your to-do list before Santa’s sleigh arrives: decorations!
Don’t invest tons of money into fancy decorations you’ll only use once. Get the whole family involved in the party and create your own decorations using paper, some basic crafting supplies, and a little creativity.

8. Banner and Photo Backdrop
Add a colorful touch to your party with this easy banner and photo backdrop. Try using NYE classics like silver, gold, and black, or create the same look pictured above using gold, copper, bronze, and pink.
To make this backgrop, simply cut out letters and circles and attach them to string. Punch holes in the letters to create the banner, or glue the circles to string to create the draping backdrop. If you’re feeling ambitious, you could also try sewing the circles together for a stronger hold.
